Animal ID helps lost animals to return to their owners

Sometimes pets get lost during the evacuation. This could make you return to dangerous areas, delay or even cancel the evacuation. Animal ID creates a personal QR-passport for your tailed friend, which will help others identify the missing pet and return it to you.

Sometimes pets get lost during the evacuation. This could make you return to dangerous areas, delay or even cancel the evacuation. Animal ID creates a personal QR-passport for your tailed friend, which will help others identify the missing pet and return it to you.

How does it work?

A special pet ID tag (a QR-passport) clings to your pet’s collar. If someone scans the code on the tag, they see the information about the lost animal: name, your phone number, contraindications, etc. is available at the time of scanning. You will also receive a message with the geolocation of the four-legged immediately.

Real stories of happy reunions

Kidnapped by Russian invaders, Maine Coon Max from Bucha was reunited with his owners after 80 days

On February 24, the owners of the Max left Bucha for a short period of time, but were unable to return. The city was invaded by occupiers who looted their apartment and kidnapped Max.

Max drove more than 300 kilometers on a Russian armored personnel carrier carrying Russian stolen household appliances. The animal escaped near Gomel, Belarus, and fled to the locals.

A month ago, the owner in Viber received a phone call from Belarus and was told that they had found a cat with the QR-tag with the owners’ phone number on its neck.

“At first, I thought someone was tricking me. However, the girl dropped Max’s photo and a Qr-tag-adorned collar. On the reverse side was a QR code with my contacts”, said Alyona. Later, the furrier went to the Czech Republic via Poland and met with his family.

Lucky's adventures

We received this story from our subscriber Victoria. While working, she left her dog Lucky outside of the city with a friend. As it turned out, Lucky was far more clever than his owner: digging a tunnel under the fence, he made his way to a nearby village seeking adventures.

He was found that evening by local children who contacted the owners. Luckily the dog had a QR tag, the children were able to scan the QR code and call Victoria directly. As Lucky safely arrived home, it makes sense why he was given that name.

The huskies' from Bucha long trip

At the beginning of the war, the family from Bucha was able to escape on foot under gunfire to Irpen. Together with the dog, they were not allowed on the train to Kyiv, so they took the pet to the headquarters, so that the owner’s husband, who remained in the region, could take it with him.

People called the woman with a child when she arrived in Kyiv. They found a QR tag on a dog running around with stray dogs. In the next 16 days, the owner posted a lot on social media, trying to get the fluffy to Zakarpattya region. They met on the border between Romania and Hungary. The moment they met was so touching that everyone around cried and the border guards took pictures. Finally, our heroes have met and can now rejoice together.

A social initiative called Project Povidok was launched by the NGO “International Registration Systems”. A major objective is to ensure that as many people and animals as possible are not lost in an emergency situation. We are providing QR tags for free during the war. With Your support we can protect and save more pets.
